On 30 May 2025, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Martadha Mohamed, Chairman of the IMT-GT Varsity Council, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Amri Bukhairi Bakhtiar, Director of the Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) at the CIMT Office in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between CIMT and the IMT-GT Varsity Council, particularly through the upcoming IMT-GT Varsity Carnival 2025. Discussions also explored future opportunities to further promote youth engagement, cultural exchange, and innovation among university students from the IMT-GT subregion.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to empower youth, enhance people-to-people relations, and elevate the role of higher education institutions through the IMT-GT cooperation.
